HDV News - Jan. 26th
Good afternoon HDV Swim Families,
I hope you are all doing well, despite the snowstorm and cold temperatures. Thankfully, we were able to have the Senior Night meet before the storm reached Central Ohio.
Thank Yous
Thank you to our Athletic Director Mr. Gantt and Assistant Principal Mr. Faska for attending the Senior Night meet.
Thank you to the Hilliard Davidson Athletic Boosters for the pins they purchased for our Seniors.
Thank you to Dana Miller and Allison Jasper for the outstanding job they did to honor our Senior Leadership Team.
Thank you to everyone who made monetary donations and/or donated their time to help Senior Night be a success!
Thank you to all who have stepped up to serve as timers for Senior Night and other meets. A meet can't run without timers.
Thank you to Jim from Sports Bucket Photography for photographing our team during Senior Night. Please use this link to view the pictures on the Sports Bucket Photography Instagram account. https://l.instagram.com/?u=
Jim wanted us to share the following: Downloads are free and are recommended. If you do a screen shot, the pictures tend to be more grainer. Please let family know this. Some of the earlier pictures, my focus was slightly off, because I had a very small drop of water on the lens.
OCC Central Division Championships
- As I shared in an earlier email, we will once again use parent drivers for the OCC meet. Attached is an HCSD travel form and a pdf of driver assignments.
- Also attached are the entries and relay sheets.
- Competition will begin at 5:00 pm and is estimated to end at 8:00 pm.
School and Practice Cancelations
- Hilliard City Schools has canceled school for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27th. We will not have morning lifting, but we may be able to have our afternoon swim practice. When I receive word from the district regarding the afternoon activities, I will send a message via Parent Square and email.
- Having canceled practices so close to our tournament is frustrating, but with a winter sport, the coaches and I have come to expect it. If your swimmer is able, please have them continue our dryland core exercises, push-ups, and burpees. If you have any cardio equipment at home, e.g., a treadmill, exercise bike, or elliptical, 40-60 mins of cardio would be good as well.
Sub Sale
- I sent an important email from Sub-Sale Chair Heather Dauer earlier today. Please check your inbox if you have not read the email. Thanks!
