HDV News - Feb. 13th
Good afternoon HDV Swim Families,
Today starts our tournament series. I can’t believe how fast our season has flown by. I want to share how awesome your athletes are. They have truly become a swim family, supporting one another, celebrating successes, and lifting each other up during difficult times. At practices, they have been ready to learn, improve, and push to a new level. I have received such positive feedback from our families who have hosted events in their homes, the Hilliard YMCA staff, our bus drivers, and a few of the meet officials.
- Thank you to the Nothem and Scheibel families for our team breakfasts.
- Thank you to Heather Dauer and all who helped with our sub sale. We made $2,938.41!! This money will be put towards lane rental, caps, and t-shirts.
- Thank you to the DiRienzo, Glover, and Bollinger families for hosting team events at their homes this week.
- Thank you to Vittoria Restaurant for their generous donation of the food for our team's pasta dinner. Along with the dinner donation, thank you to the Jasper family for donating the dessert and to the AJ Glover Foundation for providing swimmers' goodie bags.
Sectionals
- The boys' bus will depart from HDV today at 3:45 pm. Our warm-up time is 5:30 pm, and the competition begins at 6:30 pm.
- The girls’ bus will depart on Saturday at 7:00 am. Our warm-up time is 8:00 am, and the competition begins at 9:00 am.

- When I receive the official Sectional results and the District qualifiers, I will share them with you.
Practices
- We will have our last practice for the entire team at 7:00 am - 8:30 am on Monday, February 16th. All swimmers should attend.
- After Monday’s practice, only the District qualifiers, individuals, relay, and relay alternates should attend practice.
End of Season Celebration
- Our end-of-season celebration will be on Tuesday, March 10th, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. We will meet in the HDV commons. All swimmers and their families should plan on attending.
